Subway Fresh Fit 500 Salute to Military Families

On Saturday, April 12, 2008, the Subway Fresh Fit 500 race took place at Phoenix International Raceway.  Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the National Guard #88 car started out in the 13th position.  Jr. fought hard and led for many laps, but ended up finishing 7th.
 
Your Arizona Army National Guard had a large role in this years events.  From static displays to interactive presentations, the Arizona Army National Guard put on a great show.
 
Some Soldiers were part of the pre-race ceremonies.  Other Soldiers toured the NASCAR "Hot Pit" area.  A fortunate few were also able to shake hands with Dale Jr himself!  Here are some pictures from the days events:
