On
Saturday, April 12, 2008, the Subway Fresh Fit 500 race
took place at Phoenix International Raceway. Dale
Earnhardt Jr. and the National Guard #88 car started out
in the 13th position. Jr. fought hard and led for
many laps, but ended up finishing 7th.
Your Arizona Army
National Guard had a large role in this years events.
From static displays to interactive presentations, the
Arizona Army National Guard put on a great show.
Some Soldiers were part
of the pre-race ceremonies. Other Soldiers toured
the NASCAR "Hot Pit" area. A fortunate few were
also able to shake hands with Dale Jr himself!
